File structure

Overview

Drafter's Save File function saves file that integrated with CIM model. Thus, cimz, which is a CIM file extension, is used together, and you can open cimz file directly in Drafter without running CIM.

Drafter is based on DWG format. However, if you save the Project file, it is saved in mdwg file format.

File Open

Open cimz or mdwg file, CIM file format.

  • Open Project: Open cimz, the file format of CIM, or open mdwg file. If mdwg is open, there is no integration with CIM. If you open cimz, you can edit the style of the drawing in integrated with CIM, but you cannot change the shape of the object. For example, the shape of the reinforcing bar or the shape of the cross-section should be modified by opening the CIM and modifying the model in the CIM and then updating it to Drafter.

If you open the same cimz file in CIM while opening cimz in Drafter, it is recommended to close and run Drafter.

In the case of cimz file already opened in CIM, you cannot open the file separately in Drafter.

In order for CIM and Drafter to have a real-time interlock relationship, you must first open the cimz file in CIM and run Drafter through CIM.

File Save

Pressing Ctrl + S while working in Drafter or running File> Save Project will save the integration to cimz.

  • Save Project : Save Drafter File by integrating into CIM file format, cimz.

  • Save Project AS : Saves as mdwg File, a Drafter-only format that has no connection with CIM.

File Export

  • Export to full Windows dwg file : Export all windows in current mode to dwg file format.
