General

Overview of Functions

Select the target object for structural analysis, and define a Case with global settings for grid settings. Each analysis case can be exported to analysis model (* .mct).

Details of Functions

Define Tab

Select member (for 1D element)

Select an object (1D member) to export as a 1D element.

Beam, Column, Brace, General member, etc. are the target objects.

The object selected for 'Select member (for 2D element)' cannot be selected.

Select member (for 2D element)

Select an object (2D member) to export to a 2D element.

Target objects include Slab, Wall, Plate, and General member where section line information is defined.

The object selected for 'Select member (for 2D element)' cannot be selected.

Select an object to interpret as a boundary element.

Elastic link, Rigid link, etc. are the target objects.

Classification

Define general information about the analysis case.

  • Name : Input the name of the analysis case.

1D mesh size

Define global settings for the grid size of objects to be interpreted as 1D elements.

  • Division : Input the size of the element by the number of divisions.

  • Length : Input the length of the element directly.

2D mesh size

Define global settings for the grid size of objects to be interpreted as 1D elements.

  • Division : Input the size of the element by the number of divisions.

  • Length : Input the length of the element directly.

Tolerance

Define the tolerance for mesh creation.

  • Merge tolerance : Enter the tolerance distance at which two or more nodes are made into one node when creating the mesh automatically.

Seed control

Defines the detailed settings for the seed of the mesh generation.

  • Curve sensitivity : Set the curve seed sensitivity (Lowest ~ Highest).

  • Use geometry proximity : In case of check on, attempt to create a mesh with a higher geometric proximity.

  • Use adaptive seed : At the time of check-on, try to create high quality mesh by using adaptive seed that dynamically adjusts mesh size.

  • Adaptive seed factor : Input the value of the adaptive seed factor.

Surface mesh control

Define details for 2D mesh creation.

  • Element type : Set the shape of the 2D element network.
    - Tri + Quad : Create a mesh that combines triangles and squares.
    - Triangle : Create a mesh of triangle shapes.
    - Quadrilateral : Create a mesh of quadrilateral forms.

  • Optimization level : Sets the optimization level of 2D mesh creation.

  • Size growth rate : Sets the internal density rate of 2D mesh creation. In addition to the size of the element, you can set additional density of internal elements to create a better mesh.

  • Try mapped mesh : At check on, attempt to create mapping mesh of 2 mesh.

  • Use pattern mesh : At check on, the 2D mesh is created to have the most uniform pattern.

  • Angle criteria : Sets the internal angle range of the mesh when creating a 2D mesh.

  • Length ratio criteria : Sets the range of increase / decrease ratio of mesh length when creating 2D mesh.
