Overview of Functions

This sets the Global Settings such as units and snap setting.

The initial state at the start of the program is determined by the Global Setting.

Control Tab

Default unit system (force)

This sets the force unit in the default state.

You are given types of units you can choose from: kgf / tonf / N / kN / lbf / kips

Default unit system (length)

This sets the length unit of the default state.

You can set different units for different situations such as Global / User Section / Rebar draw.

Type of units selectable: mm / cm / m / in / ft / um

Other unit system

This sets the force-length unit system which is applied when Drafter and interface is provided.

Snap

This determines the type of snaps applied relative to the mouse cursor position.

  • Grid : Snaps are made at intersections on the grid.

  • End Point : A snap is made at the end point of the line.

  • Mid-Point : A Snap that clings to the center of a 1D object. (Except for cases in a Circle, an Ellipse, or a Spline)

  • Center : Snaps which are the center of a curved 1D object (Circle, Arc, Ellipse) but also those which cling to the center of a 2D object.

  • Quadrant : Snaps that cling to the quadrant of curved 1D objects (Circle, Arc, Ellipse).

  • Nearest : Snaps to arbitrary locations within 0D, 1D, and 2D objects.

  • Intersection : Snaps clinging to intersections between 1D-1D or 1D-2D objects.

  • Division: Snaps that cling to the division position of 1D object which is accordingly set by the number of divisions (Except for cases in a Circle, an Ellipse, or a Spline)

This makes the name of the mode it is set on appear on the screen.
